- The Petition is Online and in Google Docs! Print it out and start getting signatures!
- Chapter Signature Goals: JAYEA - 500 to 750; MAYEA - 750 to 1000; Homer - 500 to 700 (All chapters report goals to Steph or post on this blog.)
- Elena created a Facebook Cause for Renewable Energy - Join on and invite your friends!
- Oshi, Joe, and Charlee are working on a Powerpoint Presentation that everyone will be able to use. A rough draft will be ready by March 11.
- Elena will work with Maya to create the Green Latrine, to be finished by March 4.
- We are still doing some more research so we can make a really good case for RE. We decided to do one page research summaries of the following types of RE and how they can be used in AK:
-Tidal- Elena
-Solar - Steph
-Hydro - Talitha
-Wind - ? (maybe Daria or another volunteer?)
-Geothermal - ? (maybe Ana and Katie in Fairbanks?)
-Biomass - ? (maybe Tiaya and Mariah in Palmer?)
- Luc has offered to help all researchers! His phone number is 227-9748 and his email is lucmehl@gmail.com
- Steph and Talitha will write talking points for all of us to use during presentations and gathering signatures.
- Oshi and Elena have both written Letters to the Editor about RE. They will post these on Google Docs and the Blog and everyone can use them as examples to write their own letters.
- Everyone should think about cool stories of RE in their own or neighboring communities. Soon we will be helping people create digital stories if you have a good idea for one. Jeff and Joe are going to help train people.
- Those attending the Civics Summit will be able to show the Legislators (and maybe the Governor!) how many signatures we've collected so far. So get busy collecting signatures!
- We will do lots of presentations in March, April, and May - so start thinking about who your audiences will be for your presentations.

Next Meeting - Thursday, March 5, 6pm.
